Deconstructivist architecture.

In addition to designer furniture, the Swiss Vitra AG also develops high-quality furnishing concepts for the home or the office. This love of form is also evident in one of the world's most famous design museums: the Vitra Design Museum in Weil am Rhein. Star architect Frank Gehry designed the main building in 1989 in the style of deconstructivism. The aim of the museum foundation is to communicate design and architecture. Even from the outside, this claim is clear and underpinned by the lighting. The vitaLED lighting system from Brumberg already welcomes visitors in front of the entrance.

Architecture, design and lighting in harmony.

The lighting is precisely matched to the characteristic geometric and cubic basic shapes of the building, which seem to dissolve and burst apart. Thus, on the one hand, the museum with its white plastered walls resembles a sculpture. On the other hand, it is also a new interpretation of the "white cube". The idea behind this is to place works of art in the foreground, but the exhibition architecture in the background. Brumberg's vitaLED RGBW luminaires provide an impressive play of colors on the smooth exterior walls. Inside, the zinc-covered building has an exhibition area of over 700 square meters. Here, too, we supported the museum's concept with vitaLED. Conveniently controlled and integrated into the museum's building system technology, the luminaires become companions and promoters of the exhibition via a KNX control panel from Jung.
